Garden Silhouettes

I absolutely loved this set from Stampin Up, but honestly I haven't used it as much as I thought I would. I decided I should dig it out and use it. This is what I came up with. All products are from Stampin Up. I used the butterfly from Touch of Nature. I sure had alot of Queen Anne's Lacee to dot with the gel pen! lol This card measures 5"x 5" square. I am pleased with this card, I hope you like it, too.

9 days old

Aren't they funny!!! I sneaked down to see the Robin babies today. They made me think of little wooden soldiers! They were lined in a row with their beaks up, sitting there so silent, waiting for Momma to come back. I can't believe how much they've grown in such a short time. They are so precious. I hope you enjoy the pics!

Bundled in Love Girly Hippo

This card cracks me up, every time I see that pink hippo! lol This is done using all Stampin Up Products. I watercolored the hippo in Cameo Coral & shaded in with Chocolate Chip. Cardstock colors are: Cameo Coral, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink & watercolor paper. I gave Ms. Hippo some "baby bling" by adding a little Dazzling Diamonds to the bow. lol I added dots for accent with SU's white Gel pen. I closed it all up with white grosgain ribbon. Finished size is
4 1/2"x 4 1/2 square.

When you flip up the hippo & I put the scallop circle there. That panel folds down to reveal the verse.

I sure hope you can follow me with this. It's hard to describe, but it was fun!

Pretty Amazing and Pretty Petals

I love how this came out. I think it has such a soft look. All products are Stampin UP. Old Olive, Sage Shadow, and Whisper White card stock. White Craft and Old Olive Inks. For my main image I used the Pretty Amazing stamp set & the background on the left hand side is Pretty Petals background stamp. I added a little Dazzling Diamonds to finish it off. Size is a standard A-2 size. I think this would be pretty in other color combinations, too. I really hope you like it.

Update on Baby Robins

I was walking in our backyard and I could NOT resist the
opportunity to peek into the Robins nest. I was shocked to see
there are FOUR babies, not TWO as I reported in my earlier
post. They are so funny, heads up, beaks wide open, pointed to
the sky. I backed up about 12 feet and just stood there and the
Momma Robin (or Daddy) gave me a real treat!! Even with me so
close, they went right over to the nest & fed the babies. It was so
precious & I really felt very priviledged. I just wanted to share
this with all of you. Bye for now.

Garden Whimsy

How do you like my Pomegranate butterfly!! Bright lil fella! Here I used Whisper White, Going Gray & Black C/S. I also used my SU Corner Punch for my card corners. Purely Pomegrante, Going Gray & Green Galore Inks were used. The background is Cutie Pie DP & the gold brad holds the butterfly on. I added a few dabs of "dazzzling diamonds" on the butterfly. Finished size is 5 1/4"x5 1/4". All Products are Stampin Up. I sure hope you like it!

Carte Postale

Here's a very simple, but elegant, A-2 size card. Stamp set is Carte Postale on Whisper White, Cool Caribbean & Close to Cocoa C/S.

Used Cool Caribbean & Close to Cocoa ink, as well White Craft ink. all products Stampin UP.

Baby Robins

Sorry I haven't posted in the last couple days, but I've been sick. It's been awful. I'm feeling much better tonight, so thought I'd post a few cards. First, though, I wanted to show you the new babies I found behind my husbands workshop. He had some lattice work leaning agains't the outside wall & we were sure surprised when we found a Robin nesting. I've been watching them & this pic shows 2 of them, 1 day old. As you can see there's still another egg to hatch. Thought you might enjoy seeing them. Kinda ugly, huh?!! lol

Unfrogettable

Needless to say I had alot of fun with Unfroggetable from Stampin Up.
I used Tempting Turquoise, Black & Regal Rose C/S. I watercolored and played like I was a kid, using beads & feathers. lol I did faux stitching & used crystal effects to make "google eyes". I pop-dotted the main frog to be dimensional. Added ribbon, and there we have it! This card is the standard A-2 size. Hope this brings a smile to your face!

Both Way Blossoms

I used Both Way Blossoms by Stampin Up. Apricot Appeal, Black and Whisper White C/S. I put a dab of Crystal Effects in the center of each daisy & it makes them look glassy. I sponged with Bashful Blue in the center of card. Gingham ribbon is from my stash & finishes of the 5 x 5 card. I wish you could see how cheery this card is in real life. This was alot of fun to make.

Shimmery Butterfly Card RAK

This card was sent to me & was made by Shirely Ross (thanks again, Shirley!) Not sure who the Image was from. Shirley used Radiant Pearls for the background, and I'm pretty sure she used Twinkling H20's for the image. Copper brads from Making Memories with cardstock & ribbon from her stash. It's a really beautiful A-2 size card.

anddddd here we are again, Touch of Nature

Guess what....I LOVE this set! lol This time for my background, I used the shaving cream technique. I think it came out nicely, very soft looking. I used Stampin Up products...reinkers were Creamy Caramel and Pixie Pink. All stampin' was done in Close to Cocoa for this A-2 size card. I hope you like this as well as I do. And I promise, I won't use this stamp set again for a while....REALLY!!! (fingers crossed!) lol

Touch of Nature Again

I'm not sure what there is about this card, but I really like it. Infact, I love the Touch of Nature set by Stampin Up. It's one of my favorite stamp sets and I doubt I'll ever get tired of it.
Cranberry Crisp & Old Olive go so well together & look so natural. I love how the bird turned out...looks soft, like his belly is downy. lol I stamped the bird again & cut it out, then I pop-dotted it so it would be dimensional on this A-2 size card.
All SU products once again!!!

Touch of Nature

First of all, Touch of Nature stamp set by Stampin Up, and all SU products.
I did lots & lots of sponging... I started sponging with Old Olive in a circular motion...then sponged over that & around with Pumpkin Pie and more sponging with More Mustard...again, using a circular motion. I love how warm this looks in real life. I wish we could all see each others cards in real life, they are so much prettier!!!! The flowers and butterfly are dimensional, I used pop-dots. The finished card is the standard A-2 size. Sure hope you like it!

Grassy Cliff Card

This card was also done in a Stamp Camp. All SU products again!!! Now, this card was done a little differently. We took a piece of scrap paper, tore it & placed it on the paper where the white appears....inked around the torn paper & when you took the scrap away, viola...a hill/cliff!! I have seen this done on another site as well, but I can't remember who it was, sorry! The the gal had us add the grass to the top & bottom & it turned out kinda cute. Now that I see the card here, I realize I should of put a bird or something on the hillside in the grass, it would of given it some character! ackkkkkk! maybe next time!

She's All That

Yup, life is very, very good! I was lucky enough to go to a Stamp Camp & this was one of the Stampin Up sets that was used. I do love this set, just for the poodle on the leash. I think it's adorable. I would very much love to order this set, but in Canada it's almost $50 & that's quite a bit to spend seeing how it's just this image I'm in love with!! haha Stampin Up products used here, except the ribbon and glitter on the bottom of the dress, which came from my own stash. Also, I used Dazzling Diamonds on the top part of the dress. Really jazzy A-2 size card in person!!! :)

A Little Bit of Happiness

ohhhhh my memory is soooo bad! I borrowed this set & used it just once, and do you think I can think of the name of this!! Nope! Hopefully, one of you will enlighten me. lol
Stampin UP products once again. I watercolored the image, pop-dotting the center leaf to high light it. LOVE that ribbon!!!! This is a A-2 size card.
note: I finally found out the name...it's a hostess set, "A Little Bit of Happiness"!

Moose You

This little fella is just so sad & silly looking that he's irristable to me! haha
Well, seeing how it has a pink flower on it's rack, I guess I should say "She"!! ;)

A fairly simple, A-3 size card. All Stampin Up products. Close to Cocoa base, with a few layers.

This is not my set, it was borrowed, and I keep saying I'm going to get it. It's just such a cute critter in person & I love the porcupine that's in the set. I put him inside.

Another A Litttle Birdie Told Me

I don't know what there is about this set, but I really like these little birds. I think they are just so happy lookin'! It just occured to me, that I forgot to color the flower!!! The birdie on the right looks forgotten too, but I did color it a pale blue, honest! Must be my scanner. I'm beginning to think I might be better off to take pics, because the cards really don't look very special here. In real life they are very cute & crisp with the colors. oh well.

The colors look off here, but I used the So Saffron DP, and it seems to look kinda pinkish here. hmmmmm. Once again, all Stampin Up products here. I'm not sure I should mention every single color & piece I use here. I can only hope YOU, as viewers, will let me know which you prefer in your comments. I love this SU ribbon...it feels so nice & looks so clean & crisp! Ohhhhh, you don't know it yet, but I'm a ribbon hoarder! (hangin my head in shame, lol) I LOVE RIBBON!!! I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE IT!!! LOL Finished size is 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 square.

A Little Birdie Told Me

I like this little set. It's cute & pretty versatile, I think. I do not use all Stampin Up sets exclusively, I like others too, but it seems that's all I've put on the blog so far. I'll mix it up as I go...you'll see.
For this I chose Really Rust, So Saffron, Ruby Red, Whisper White & Groovy Guava CS. Layer, layer, layer!
lol I did a quickie watercolor for the image. All products are SU for this standard A-2 size card.

Garden Silhouettes Sympathy Card

Phew, I absolutely don't know what I'm doing on this blogger thingy. Please bear with me, I'll purty things up when I know how. I'm basically just trying to learn to add the pic, text & to post it!! lol (gasp) I sure could use some pointers!

Why is it you never have a sympathy card done up when you need one? This is made with Garden Silhouettes, Baroque Motif & Linen BG stamp sets from Stampin Up. I pieced in some DS paper, using close to cocoa CS as my base, I also used the Close to Cocoa 1/4" grosgrain ribbon! Actually, everything on this card is from SU. I did add some paper piercing near the top. I just love these colors together! Finished, this is a A-2 size card.

I did it!

Hi, thanks for stopping by. I've been content to do my stamping, and read others blogs. But, recently I broke my wrist(ouch!) and now I can't stamp(BIGGGGER OUCH!)lol. So, instead of sitting here feeling sorry for myself, I decided this would be the perfect time to start my blog. It will be slow starting, cuz I can't stamp much, but I'll try to be up to speed soon. Please do bookmark my site and stop back later to see updates. Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you'll enjoy your stay and be inspired.
