Style of Elements

Hi Stampers! I'm so pleased with myself for getting back to posting. It's fun & I love being connected with my friends!

Today I'm showing my card that I made with Stampin Up's "Style of Elements" stamp set and the "All a Flutter" stamp. I used Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry & Pretty in Pink cardstock. I stamped the flowers in rich razzleberry ink and took the blender pen and pulled the color from the edges of the petals to color them in with the blender pen. I had not tried that before and it worked really, really well. If you haven't tried it, you must!!! It was fun & I love the effect!! I filled the leaves in with the mellow moss stampin'write marker. I made faux stitch lines with the white gel pen. I embossed the All a flutter butterfly with black embossing powder and colored it in with the markers. I used the lovely label & window punches to show the "thinking of you" from "Teeny Tiny Verses" stamp set, I used dimensionals to pop dot it and the butterfly. And ofcourse I highlighted the flowers with a little touch of Dazzling Diamonds! Gotta have that BLING!! hehe All products are by Stampin Up.

I hope you enjoy this post and card. I love, love, love your comments, so be sure to add them if you choose. I hope you're having a great stamping week!!

Take care & happy stampin,

Glad to be back and Simple Friendship

Hello to my faithful friends, stampers and followers!!! I can't believe that the last day I posted was in February. I miss posting and reading comments from all of you!!! You really and truly do make my day, and that's why I'm back here. I do feel, however, like I owe you an explanation why I've been gone so long...but, I'm going to keep it short....(don't want to bore you too much, ya know!) In January I came down with a plain & simple common cold (or so I thought) and to my delight it only lasted a day and a half. But what I didn't know was...my body was invaded by some nasty little virus that still has not left me. Don't worry, I'm ok...it has just caused some complications with my COPD and for some reason, my fibromyalgia has been enraged and I literally was exhausted for 3 full months!!! I am a little better, but I'm still waiting to wake up some morning and feel like my old self again.

During this time, I have done a little stamping. How else would I still be sane, right?? hehe I want you to know that during all this, I have realized how much I miss blogging and how much I miss contact with all my readers and fellow stampers. So here I am gals....LET'S STAMP!!!!!

When thinking of things that we cherish so dearly, I find that simple friendship is right there near the top of the list. So today, I'm going to start with the "SIMPLE FRIENDSHIP" stamp set from Stampin Up! I love this set!

All products used were Stampin Up! As you can see, I primarily used Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry colors. I used dimensionals to pop-dot the butterfly, the 3 flowers and the friend medallion. For the background paper I used a piece from the Cottage Wall DSP. I've used Dazzling Diamonds to outline the beautiful butterfly, the centers of the 3 main flowers as well as the flowers in the medallion.I love how it came out! I hope you do too, please let me know what you think of it as I love to hear of your likes and dislikes.

Thanks for dropping in and rest assured, I'm back...you can't get rid of me! hehe I hope you'll forgive me for being gone so long and continue to check out my blog to see what I've been stamping.

Take care & happy stampin,
